The old town inside the walls is small enough to walk in any direction in ten minutes. The lake ferry pier at the harbour mouth runs services to Sirmione, Bardolino, Garda, Malcesine, and Limone several times a day in summer. Bicycles can be rented from several shops near the railway station and the harbour; the cycle path along the Mincio south to Mantova is one of the better rides in northern Italy, and a flat ride to Sirmione takes about an hour. Driving in the walled centre is restricted, but ample parking sits just outside the walls.
