Kurshumli Mosque

Historic Ottoman mosque in Peja, known for its lead-covered dome and quiet cemetery setting.

Kurshumli Mosque is one of Peja's smaller Ottoman monuments, set with old graves and a calmer atmosphere than the bazaar-side Bajrakli Mosque. Its name refers to the lead roofing traditionally associated with the dome, and the mosque belongs to the group of historic Islamic buildings that give Peja's centre its older texture.

It is an active religious site, so visit outside prayer times and dress modestly. The mosque works best as part of a short cultural walk through Peja's old town, linking the bazaar, hammam, mills, and mosques before heading out toward Rugova Gorge.
