Latvia's main natural history museum, housed in an elegant 19th-century building on Barona iela. The collection covers the geology, flora, and fauna of Latvia and the broader Baltic region, with well-mounted displays on local wildlife, amber, and prehistoric life. A good choice for a rainy afternoon, and considerably cheaper than most European natural history museums. Free admission on the first Sunday of the month.
