Echternach has a respectable concentration of restaurants for a town its size — a legacy of the day-tripper and pilgrim trade. Cooking leans Franco-German, with Mosel wines and German beers in equal measure. The Place du Marché and Rue de la Gare have most of the cafés, brasseries and bistros; a couple of more ambitious places sit just outside the centre.
