The Moselle cycle path is the best way to experience the wine country around Grevenmacher. The route runs along the river for the entire length of Luxembourg's eastern border, and the stretch between Grevenmacher and Wormeldange is particularly rewarding: flat, well-surfaced, and flanked by continuous vineyards rising steeply on both banks. On a clear day, the reflections in the river and the orderly rows of vines give the landscape a quietly theatrical quality.
From Grevenmacher, you can cycle south to Machtum and Ahn, two of the most photogenic villages on the Luxembourg Moselle, in under an hour. Continuing further takes you to Remich, the other main town on the river. Bike rental is available in Grevenmacher; the path itself is part of the EuroVelo 15 (Rhine Cycle Route) network, so it is well signed and maintained.
