Kitino Kale

Kitino Kale is the hilltop site of Kičevo's old fortress, a place whose remains go back to the Bronze and Iron ages and were still in use into the Ottoman period. Little of the fortification survives, but the hill is now a small park with monuments and a memorial ossuary.

The main reason to climb up is the view over Kičevo and the surrounding hills. It works well as a short walk from the centre, especially if you are already exploring the old bazaar below.
