Tauresium

Tauresium is an archaeological site best known as the birthplace of Byzantine emperor Justinian I in 483. The ruins are modest today, mostly foundations and low walls, but the link to late Roman and Byzantine history gives the quiet site a weight that the stones alone do not show.
