Chisinau has a lively cafe and bar scene concentrated around Stefan cel Mare Boulevard and the surrounding streets. Moldovan wine is excellent and inexpensive by any standard; look for local labels from Cricova, Milestii Mici, or Purcari. The city has a growing number of wine bars alongside the standard Eastern European beer halls and cocktail bars.
