Bergen is a small village and most of what it offers can be covered on foot in a few hours. The Ruïnekerk is the emotional heart of town; Museum Kranenburgh next door holds the most significant collection of Bergen School expressionist art. The surrounding dunes and forests are the natural backdrop, and Bergen aan Zee is the beach annex.
