Delft has a good range of restaurants for a small city, concentrated around the Markt, Beestenmarkt, Wijnhaven, and the canal streets between them. The university keeps prices moderate and the crowd lively. Dutch standards — stamppot, bitterballen, herring — coexist with Indonesian rijsttafel (a legacy of the Dutch colonial past) and plenty of international options.
