Spandershoeve

A long-standing Indonesian restaurant in the Spanderswoud forest west of town. The rijsttafel — a dozen or more small dishes served around a big bowl of rice — is the obvious order, and Spandershoeve does the classics (rendang, gado-gado, beef nasi) properly. They have a vegetarian rijsttafel too.

The pavilion-style building is set among trees with a covered terrace; in summer you can eat outdoors looking at the woods. Reservations advised at weekends.
