The old town hall on the Markt is one of the more characterful small-town stadhuizen in Gelderland. The current building dates from the early 17th century, with a stepped gable, a small clock tower, and an inscription that recalls Lochem's stadsrechten — granted in 1233, making it one of the oldest chartered towns in the region.
Inside is the town's small civic museum, with displays on Lochem's history as a Hanseatic-period market and on the 17th-century sieges of the town.
