Maastricht has excellent train and road connections. Direct trains from Amsterdam and The Hague take about two and a half hours. The A2 motorway connects the city to the north. From Maastricht you can reach Aachen in Germany or Liège in Belgium by train — useful connections if you are travelling onward to Paris via the TGV. Maastricht Aachen Airport has regular flights to Amsterdam, London, and Düsseldorf.
