Scheveningen has no train station of its own but is well connected by tram from The Hague. Tram 1 runs from Den Haag Hollands Spoor (and across the centre of the city) to Scheveningen Noord, stopping at the Kurhaus and Pier. Tram 9 connects The Hague Central station to Scheveningen Haven. From central The Hague the journey is fifteen to twenty minutes; total time from Amsterdam Central via train to Den Haag HS and onward tram is about 75 minutes.
By car, the A12 motorway runs into The Hague from the east; from there it is a clearly signed five-kilometre run through the city to Scheveningen. Parking is expensive in summer but plentiful in the multi-storey garages beneath the boulevard. The nearest airports are Rotterdam-The Hague (twenty minutes) and Schiphol (45 minutes).
