Scheveningen is for being outside. Walk the boulevard from the harbour in the north to the cliff at Seinpost in the south — about three kilometres — taking in the Pier, the Kurhaus, the Beelden aan Zee sculpture museum, and the lighthouse. The beach itself is the main attraction in summer; the dunes behind it are the main one in spring and autumn. With kids the obvious stops are the Sea Life aquarium beside the Pier and Madurodam — the miniature-Netherlands park five minutes south.
