Scheveningen Haven

Working fishing harbour at the northern end of the resort, with the daily fish auction

Scheveningen Haven is the working fishing harbour at the northern end of the resort, separated from the boulevard by a long stretch of dune. There are three basins: an outer commercial harbour for North Sea trawlers, an inner marina for pleasure boats, and a fish auction hall where the morning catch is sold to wholesalers between 06:00 and 09:00 (visitor balcony free of charge).

Around the harbour are a cluster of fish restaurants, the small Muzee Scheveningen on the village's fishing history, and the departure point for North Sea fishing trips and seal-watching cruises in summer. The walk from the Pier takes about 25 minutes along the boulevard and past the dune path. Tram 11 connects the harbour to The Hague centre.
