Getting There

Zandvoort is one of the easiest seaside towns in Europe to reach. A direct train from Amsterdam Centraal runs four times an hour in summer and twice an hour the rest of the year, taking about 28 minutes to Zandvoort aan Zee — a terminal station ten minutes' walk from the beach. The line was upgraded ahead of the 2021 Grand Prix and now handles dedicated race-day services to Sprinter Zandvoort.

By car the run is the A4 and A9 from Amsterdam, around 35 minutes outside summer weekends and considerably longer inside them. Parking on the boulevard fills by ten in the morning on hot days; the multi-storeys behind the station are usually easier. Bicycles travel free on the train outside peak hours and Zandvoort is the natural end-point of the long flat ride across the polders from Amsterdam.
