Bremsneshola

Large sea-facing cave on Averøy with traces of Stone Age settlement.

Bremsneshola is a large cave in Bremsneshatten on Averøy, just outside Kristiansund. The cave is roughly 80 metres long and has archaeological interest as part of a landscape where traces of Stone Age settlement have been found.

It is a worthwhile side stop if you are already exploring Averøy or driving toward the Atlantic Ocean Road. Go for the combination of coastal scenery, geology, and early human history rather than expecting a developed show cave.
