Blindleia

Sheltered inner coastal waterway of islands, skerries, summer houses, and boat traffic.

Blindleia is the sheltered waterway west of Lillesand, threading between islands and the mainland towards Kristiansand. It is the coast at its most charming: white houses, red boathouses, smooth rocks, narrow sounds, and boats moving slowly through protected water.

If you can take a summer boat trip, do it. From land you can see pieces of the landscape, but the logic of Blindleia only really makes sense from the water.

A story
Blindleia became part of the classic Sørlandet summer imagination because it lets boats travel in protected water behind the outer skerries. The route feels intimate: houses, rocks, and channels pass close enough to seem almost like a village street on water.
