Sellanraa Bok og Bar

Bookshop, café and bar in one — a Trondheim favourite for slow afternoons

A combined bookshop, café and bar on Kjøpmannsgata, Sellanraa is the kind of place Trondheim does very well — high ceilings, wooden floors, a small but well-chosen selection of books, and good coffee. In the evening the lighting drops and it turns into a relaxed wine and beer bar, often with live music or readings in the back room.

The name is a nod to Knut Hamsun's novel Markens grøde. Open from morning through to late, and one of the better spots in the city centre for an unhurried hour with a book.
