Ul. Mariacka is Katowice's main bar strip, a pedestrian street lined with converted tenement houses whose ground floors have been turned into cafés, craft beer bars, and small restaurants. On a warm evening it fills up quickly — locals drag chairs onto the pavement and the whole street takes on a relaxed, sociable character. There is no single destination here; just walk along and see what looks good. The quality is generally high and the prices are lower than in Warsaw or Kraków.
