Teatr Korez is one of Katowice's smaller performance venues, the sort of theatre where the room and audience feel close to the actors. It is known for contemporary Polish work, comedy, and chamber productions rather than monumental opera-house spectacle.
For non-Polish speakers, the programme will decide whether it makes sense to attend. Even if you only pass by, it is a useful reminder that Katowice's cultural life is not limited to big institutions and post-industrial architecture.
