Getting There

Kołobrzeg is on the Baltic coast and reasonably easy to reach from across Poland and central Europe.

By train — Kołobrzeg's main station is a 15-minute walk north of the old town. Direct trains run from Warsaw (around 8 hours via Poznań), Poznań (around 5 hours), and Szczecin (around 3 hours). In summer, seasonal direct services run from Kraków, Wrocław, and Berlin.

By air — The closest airport is Szczecin–Goleniów (SZZ), around two hours by car, with budget flights to several European cities. Gdańsk (GDN) and Berlin (BER) are larger options around three to four hours away.

By car — The S6 expressway parallels the Baltic coast from Szczecin to Gdańsk. Coming from the south, the S11 connects Poznań to the coast at Koszalin, half an hour east of Kołobrzeg.

By ferry — In summer, the catamaran service from Kołobrzeg's marina to Nexø on Bornholm (Denmark) runs several times a week — a useful and atypical way of getting to or from Scandinavia.
