Krynica-Zdrój is served by rail from Nowy Sącz, which connects to Kraków and the rest of the national network. The journey from Kraków takes around 2–3 hours depending on connections. Direct trains to Krynica from Warsaw operate on some schedules. The small railway station in Krynica is the southern terminus of the line.
By car, Krynica is about 120 kilometres south of Kraków, a drive of roughly 2 hours via Nowy Sącz. The road through the Beskid Sądecki passes through pleasant mountain scenery. From Warsaw by car, expect around 5 hours.
