Getting There

Łeba is a cul-de-sac at the end of a regional road on the Polish Baltic coast, which gives it its pleasantly remote character. Getting there requires some effort, which filters out casual visitors.

By rail: A narrow-gauge railway line connects Łeba to Lębork (about 30 km south), from where there are connections to Gdańsk and Gdynia. The narrow-gauge train is slow and charming, rattling through the Pomeranian countryside. From Gdańsk, the total journey takes around two to three hours.

By bus: PKS buses and private coach services run from Gdańsk and Gdynia to Łeba, particularly in summer when demand peaks. The direct bus is faster than the train combination.

By car: From Gdańsk take the S6 expressway toward Słupsk, then regional roads north through Lębork to Łeba. The drive from Gdańsk takes about 1.5 hours depending on summer traffic. Parking in Łeba is limited and expensive in July and August — arrive early or use the car parks at the edge of town.
