The old town is compact and walkable. Majdanek, about 4 kilometres from the centre, is reachable by city bus (lines 23 and 25 from the old town area) or by taxi. The Chachmei Lublin Yeshiva and the old Jewish quarter sites in Podzamcze are a short walk from the castle. Lublin has a city bike system (Lublin Bike) with stations around the centre. Taxis are inexpensive by Western European standards.
