Swidwie Nature Reserve protects a wetland landscape of lake, reeds, meadows, and bird habitat northwest of Szczecin. It offers a very different outing from the city's port, boulevards, and brick architecture.
Birdwatchers will get the most from it, especially in migration seasons, but even a casual visitor can enjoy the open water and quiet paths. Bring binoculars if possible and check access rules, since the reserve is about conservation first.
