Getting There

By air: Warsaw Chopin Airport (WAW), 8km south of the centre, handles most international flights. The train (SKM commuter rail) connects the airport to Warsaw Central (Warszawa Centralna) in about 20 minutes; buy tickets from machines at the station. A taxi or Uber to the centre takes 20–40 minutes depending on traffic and costs around 30–50 PLN. Warsaw Modlin Airport, 40km north, handles Ryanair and other budget carriers; dedicated buses run to Warsaw.

By train: Warsaw Centralna station is in the heart of the city and connects to all major Polish cities and international trains to Berlin (5.5 hours), Vienna, Prague, and beyond. EC trains to Berlin run several times daily. The rail link between Warsaw and Kraków is fast and frequent (2.5 hours by express).

By bus: FlixBus, Polskibus, and Polish national coaches serve Warsaw from across Europe. The main coach station (Dworzec Autobusowy) is adjacent to the Central Station.
