Nożyk Synagogue

Historic Warsaw synagogue that survived the Second World War and remains active today.

Nozyk Synagogue is one of Warsaw's most important Jewish heritage sites, and one of the few pre-war synagogues in the city to survive. Its presence is powerful precisely because so much of Jewish Warsaw was destroyed.

The synagogue is still an active religious building, so visit respectfully and check access before you go. It pairs naturally with POLIN Museum and the former ghetto area for a fuller, more sober understanding of the city.
