A classic communist-era milk bar — bar mleczny — serving subsidised cheap Polish home cooking in a no-frills cafeteria setting. Pierogi, naleśniki (pancakes), żurek soup, kompot, a full plate of food for less than ten zlotys. Order at the counter, take a number, find a table.
Bar mleczny became scarce after the collapse of communism but Miś is one of the last ones with a serious local clientele. Worth a visit as much for the experience as for the food.
