The historic centre of Wrocław is small and walkable — almost everything in the old town, Ostrów Tumski and the Four Denominations District is within 15 minutes' walk of the Rynek. For Centennial Hall, the Zoo or Sky Tower, take a tram.
Wrocław's tram and bus network is operated by MPK Wrocław and is the most efficient way of moving around the city. Single tickets are available at machines on most platforms, in tobacco kiosks, and via the JakDojadę or Mobiblet apps; a 24-hour or 72-hour ticket is good value for short stays. The trams run frequently and are usually well-maintained; bus lines fill in the gaps to the outer districts.
Taxis are widely available and inexpensive by Western European standards. Bolt is the dominant ride-hail app; Uber also operates. The city has a public bicycle scheme (Wrocławski Rower Miejski) with stations across the old town.
