A small district north-west of the Rynek where the Catholic St Anthony of Padua church, the Lutheran Holy Spirit church, the Orthodox Saints Cyril and Methodius church, and the White Stork Synagogue all stand within a few hundred metres of each other. After 1989 the area was deliberately developed as a meeting place for the city's different religious communities and now hosts a small concentration of cafes, jazz clubs and small galleries.
The White Stork Synagogue is the only one in Wrocław to survive Kristallnacht intact; it is open to visitors as a museum of Jewish history in Lower Silesia.
