A welcome vegetarian restaurant in a city otherwise devoted to roast meat. Cor de Tangerina sits in a narrow lane just off Rua de Santa Maria, with tables in a small courtyard garden under an old fig tree.
The menu is short, seasonal, and changes daily — typically a soup, two mains (one usually a vegetable stew, one based on pulses), and a couple of cakes. Reasonable prices, slow service, and easily the most relaxed lunch in the historic centre.
