A long-running restaurant on Rua Direita with a small terrace and a vaulted dining room, serving classic Portuguese dishes — grilled bacalhau, suckling pig, the obligatory pera rocha pear poached in red wine. Despite its central location it is more popular with locals at lunch than with the tourist trade.
Two courses and a glass of vinho verde for around €25. Bookings advisable at weekends.
