A long-established family-run restaurant in the side streets behind the market. The menu rotates with whatever came off the boats that morning — typically grilled sea bream, sole, robalo, and shellfish — written up on a board at the door. Side dishes are simple: boiled potatoes, broad beans with chouriço, a tomato salad.
Service is brisk and friendly, the dining room is plain, and the wine list is short but well chosen from the local Setúbal peninsula producers. A grilled fish for two with wine and dessert will come to around €40-50, which is excellent value for fish of this quality.
