The village is entirely walkable — the castle, market, and Queen Marie's cottage are all within a few minutes on foot. Hiking into the Bucegi Mountains begins from the village edge. A car is useful for exploring the wider area, including Piatra Craiului National Park and Zărnești to the southwest. There is no need for transport within the village itself.
