The Biserica Sfânta Treime stands a few minutes' walk east of Union Square, set back from the street in a small park. Built in the late 19th century for the growing Romanian Orthodox community in this part of the city, it is a calmer counterpoint to the busy Church with the Moon and St. Nicholas Cathedral on the main square.
The interior is recently restored, with bright frescoes in the Romanian Byzantine tradition. It is a good detour if you are walking from the centre toward the Holy Trinity district and the river promenade.
