Poiana Brașov has around 25 km of ski runs spread across 12 pisted slopes, served by a mix of chair lifts, gondolas, and drag lifts. The skiing is not extensive by Alpine standards, but the variety is good: easy nursery slopes at resort level, comfortable intermediate runs through the forest, and the Wolf Run (Lupului piste) — a nearly 3 km black run that drops 600 metres in vertical and tests even experienced skiers.
Lift passes are cheap by Western European standards, ski hire is readily available in the village, and the ski school has instructors who teach in English, German, and French. Night skiing operates on several runs in high season. The resort is consistently snow-reliable from December through March, with snowmaking on the main runs as backup.
