Sighet is not a nightlife town. The main square has a couple of espresso bars open from morning to early evening — Cafe Perla is the most reliable. After dark the action moves to a handful of pubs and student bars on the side streets and behind the County Hall, where local beer, palinka, and grilled snacks are served until midnight or so. For something quieter, the restaurant cellars at Casa Iurca and Butoiul de Aur keep going late.
