The wooden Church of St. Nicholas in Bogdan Vodă dates from 1718 and sits in the old village cemetery. Built of spruce wood, it is 18 metres long with a tower reaching 25 metres. The interior walls were painted in 1754 and remain well preserved, alongside a wooden chandelier and an archbishop's chair. Religious books brought from Wallachia and Moldavia are still kept inside. One of the eight Maramureș wooden churches on the UNESCO World Heritage list.
