Fedorovsky Embankment runs above the Oka River and gives some of the best wide views in Nizhny Novgorod, including the river junction, old churches, and lower town streets. The approaches from Bolshaya Pokrovskaya lead through smaller historic lanes, where the walk is part of the appeal.
Come near sunset if the weather is clear. The embankment is more a scenic walk than a single monument, so allow time to wander rather than treating it as a quick photo stop.
