Chelyabinsk has a comprehensive public transport network of trams, trolleybuses, and buses covering the whole city. Trams are the most useful for visitors: lines run along the main avenues and connect the centre to outlying districts. The city centre itself is very walkable — Kirovka and the surrounding cultural quarter are all within easy reach on foot.
Taxis are plentiful and cheap by Western standards; ride-hailing apps such as Yandex Taxi work well here. Marshrutkas (shared minibuses) fill gaps in the fixed-route network but can be confusing for newcomers.
