Dunavska is the oldest street in Novi Sad and the most enjoyable to walk. It runs from Liberty Square down to Danube Park — pedestrianised, lined with Biedermeier shopfronts, a few small museums, antique bookshops, and a steady run of cafes with outside seating.
Side streets branching off Dunavska lead to the Bishop's Palace, the Serbian Orthodox Almaška Church, and the synagogue. Save time for the small antiquarian bookshops, where you can still pick up old Serbian Cyrillic editions for a few euros.
