Lipica is most easily reached by car. From Ljubljana (75 km), take the A1 motorway southwest toward Koper and exit at Divaca, then follow signs south to Lipica — about 7 km from the motorway junction. From Trieste across the Italian border it is around 20 km, making Lipica a feasible day trip from the city.
Public transport is limited. Buses serve Divaca from Ljubljana and Koper, and from Divaca a taxi or hired car covers the last stretch. There are no trains to Lipica itself. Most visitors arrive as part of an organised day trip from Ljubljana or as a stop en route between Slovenia and Trieste.
