Lectar's restaurant occupies the ground floor of the old gingerbread inn on the main square, serving traditional Slovenian dishes in a room with beamed ceilings and tiled stoves. The menu runs to roast pork, buckwheat dumplings, bean soups, and locally sourced game in season. It is a proper sit-down lunch rather than a quick bite, and the quality is consistent.
Lectar is the most atmospheric eating option on the square — the building has been an inn since the 18th century and has not been aggressively modernised. Prices are modest by the standards of any Alpine resort town, and considerably lower than comparable restaurants across the valley in Bled.
