Getares Beach is the main sandy escape south of Algeciras, set in a bay with views toward the Strait of Gibraltar. It offers a more relaxed side of a city often experienced through its port, ferries, and transport links.
The beach is best in warm weather for swimming, walking, or a simple seaside meal. It is also a useful place to pause if you are based in Algeciras but want a coastal setting without heading all the way to Tarifa.
