Algeciras is on the main rail and bus routes along the southern Spanish coast. Trains run to Ronda, Granada, and Madrid. Buses connect to Málaga, Cádiz, Seville, and Tarifa.
The port has frequent ferry services to Ceuta (about an hour) and Tangier Med in Morocco (about two hours). Several companies operate — you can buy tickets at the port or online. Fast catamarans are quicker but cost more. Nearby Tarifa also has a fast ferry to Tangier city centre, which is the more convenient crossing if you want to explore Tangier itself.
