Cruz del Monte Hacho is the crucifix on the hill above Alora, reached by a signposted path from town. The climb is the point: from the cross you get wide views over the whitewashed town, the Guadalhorce valley, and the surrounding hills.
Go early or late in hot weather, and treat it as a short walk rather than a major hike.
