Getting There

Fuengirola is well connected by the Cercanías commuter rail — the most convenient way to arrive from Málaga.

By train: The C-1 Cercanías line runs from Málaga city centre (Málaga-Centro Alameda station) to Fuengirola in about 45 minutes, with trains every 30 minutes. The Fuengirola station is in the centre of town, a short walk from the seafront. This is the easiest and cheapest way to arrive from Málaga Airport (change at Málaga-Centro) or from Torremolinos.

By bus: Frequent buses run along the N-340A coastal road connecting Málaga, Torremolinos, Benalmádena, Fuengirola, and Marbella. The bus station is near the train station.

By car: Fuengirola is on the A-7 autopista (or the older N-340 coastal road), about 30 km west of Málaga and 30 km east of Marbella. Parking near the seafront in summer can be difficult and expensive; look for parking further back from the beach.

From the airport: Málaga Airport (AGP) is about 25 km east. The easiest route is by Cercanías train — the airport station connects to the main line at Málaga-Centro, then change for the Fuengirola C-1. Total journey about 1 hour.
