Jerez has its own airport — Aeropuerto de Jerez de la Frontera — about 8 kilometres from the city centre, with flights from several European cities, particularly Ryanair routes from the UK and Ireland. The railway station is central and well connected: there are regular trains to Cádiz (30 minutes), Seville (just over an hour), and Madrid. The bus station has good connections throughout Andalusia.
By car, Jerez is on the A-4 autopista between Seville and Cádiz. Parking in the old town can be difficult; there are large underground car parks near the cathedral. Cádiz is 40 minutes south, Seville 90 minutes north, and the sherry town of Sanlúcar de Barrameda is 25 minutes west along the coast road.
